Poetry 'N Stitchery

Patricia Moore

Poetry 'N Stitchery -- click for an enlarged viewThis class is a study in texture with high-low dimensional stitching. Quilting with Styrofoam fruit trays creates the garden wall. The wall is then painted with watercolor pencils or crayons before the flowers are added. Learn how to create lace wired flowers, raised bead flowers, whipped spider webs, bullion knots, woven bar, detached buttonhole flowers and more. This class is designed for you as a stitcher to express your own ideas and create your imaginary walled garden.

This piece Poetry 'N Stitchery was designed to illustrate a simple poem: "All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today".
