 Zoom class with Celeste Chalasani
 "Tidal Treasures"

Some of Celeste's fondest memories are of walking along the beach picking
up sea shells.  As the waves gently roll in, you can search the sandy
beach to see what treasure you might discover.  Each shell is a mystery,
a question of what sea creature once inhabited it.  In this class, we
will create our own tidal treasures: a starfish needle minder, a sea urchin
pin cushion and scallop needle book.

Kit includes instructions, silk shantung, silk dupioni, Weeks Dye Works stranded
cotton threads, Mill Hill Antique Glass Beads, Ultrasuede, finishing materials
and needles.  Students to provide 4" and 6" embroidery hoops, 10" x
10" Evertite frame or stretcher bars with brass tacks and tightening tool,
6" ruler, white tissue paper, tweezers, masking tape, scissors for cutting
paper and felt, mechanical pencil or similar, straight pins, cream colored
sewing thread, needle threader, and usual stitching supplies.  Magnification
		    and lighting is highly recommended.

		    Skill Level:  Advanced
