             A View from the
Beach  -  Class with Joni Stevenson
A path across the dunes leads the viewer down to the ocean where a small boat sails across
the waves.  The water sparkles under a blue sky with a few puffy clouds overhead.
The beach grass and beach roses add a warm contrast to the cool water beyond.  This
realistic scene relies on threads and stitches that are chosen for their ability to portray
a realistic effect. Location:  Duncaster Senior Residence in Bloomfield, CT.

is an actual size photocopy of the piece detailing each and every
stitch.    Stitches
used include lazy daisy with a twist, split and satin stitch, outline, French
