Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 1pm -- Included with admission.
Needlework was an important part of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century America.
Mourning embroideries often depicted figures overcome with sadness and other emblems of
grief. Ned Lazaro, associate curator of costume and textiles, discusses the ongoing
significance of one outstanding example. Meet in front of the museum shop.

We are having a "Snow Day" theme for the day with several projects to pick from. You can pick
one or all three, or work on any snow-related project of your choice.

The Pequot Colony Stitchers, a group of CRVC members primarily in south-eastern Connecticut,
meet via Zoom at 10am on the third Wednesday of each month. All CRVC members are welcome.
